The Impending Equalization of Power by Women in U.S. Government As 2007 unfolds, the people of the United States will catch intermittent glimpses of future changes in our government's structure. One transformation has already come to pass with the appointment of Nancy Pelosi as the first female Speaker of the House (this is actually part of a larger shift that will balance the masculine and feminine energies in governments). Mrs. Pelosi, after Dick Cheney, is now second in line to the presidency. In the U.S., this telltale sign portends the beginning of the end of the government we know. Of course, these changes will not manifest in one day; the energies will demonstrate themselves over the coming years allowing U.S. citizens to become accustomed to the new political structure. In an article printed in the Washington Times, Mrs. Pelosi stated, "We have waited over 200 years for this time to come" [regarding her appointment]. "We will not just break through a glass ceiling, we will break through a marble ceiling…in more than 200 years of history, there was an established pecking order-and I cut in line." She later referred to herself as "the most powerful woman in America!" This is the type of power we will see demonstrated from influential female figures in the coming years. For many years, the embodiment of the U.S. government, and most governments for that matter, have been primarily male dominated. Wherever imbalance exists, Universal forces will attempt to create balance so that the symmetry and perfection of the Universe may manifest to a greater and higher purpose. An overabundance and imbalance of the masculine energy influencing and effecting our government has created war, disharmony, and unrest, all energies emitted by the planet Mars, which rules men and the male energy. Peace, harmony, and balance radiate from Venus, the planet that rules women. Perhaps once the feminine energy spreads further into the higher branches of our government, Humanity will begin to experience these virtues. The energies of the January 18, 2007, New Moon suggested the Universe has set into motion the beginnings of these governmental changes. I find it very interesting, though not surprising, that immediately after the January New Moon, Hillary Clinton announced her place in the 2008 Presidential election. If an Astrologer wasn't advising her, she seems, on her own, to be very much in tune with the planetary energies that are working in her favor and could lead her toward greater political success. Mrs. Clinton's natal Moon resides in her 10th house of career and higher ambitions. Generally speaking, when the Moon is located in one's 10th house, the native will have a predisposition toward public appeal. Hillary's Moon is fairly well aspected, so life in the public eye has never been out of the question, especially if there is any doubt as to whether she can actually achieve high public status such as the presidency. She may, at times, seem too strong with her opinions and convictions, but isn't also the current President? If she can diplomatically express herself in a manner that will not turn some people away from her, she can become an even more powerful influence in society than she already is. After reviewing the planetary trends that will be influencing Hillary's chart over the next 2 years, I feel that, as of this writing, the United States will have its first female President in the next election. This will be a welcome change. During the summer of 2007, the people of the U.S. will notice that women who hold powerful positions will be reassessing how they exercise their power and influence. For example, we could very well see Condoleezza Rice feeling her integrity has become so challenged in her current position that she may be personally compelled to step down as Secretary of State, secure in the knowledge that, morally, she can no longer work with the males she's closely associated with. Early 2007 and the summer months will indicate two periods when she will feel these challenges most, the latter being the time when the public could clearly observe a change in Ms. Rice's position. Again, during the summer months, female political figures will become inspired to make the necessary changes that will better Humanity. They will feel a surge of energy, urging them to become influential in their standings. They will heed the call to rise above the current political climate and make themselves known. The phrase "I am woman, hear me roar," will take on new meaning.
