Our Celebrity this month was born on December 18th, 1963 in the quaint town of Shawnee Oklahoma. The oldest of three children in his family, his mother was a school counselor and his father owned a trucking firm. It wasn’t long at all until his family moved to Springfield, Missouri, it was there that he spent his high school years at Kickapoo high school. He was active on various sports teams, a member of the choir as well as being a key figure on his debate club, on top of all that he was a big part of the student government. His childhood was fairly normal, happy family, lots of friends, camping trips, but there was one thing about this youngster that made him unique, he loved movies!

Brad Pitt was a full blown movie buff right from the get go, little did he know at the time he would be one of Hollywood’s leading men and one of People Magazines most beautiful people. This ‘double’ Sagittarius, double meaning that the rising sign in a chart is the same as the Sun sign, has a carefree and adventurous spirit.

Jupiter, the ruler of his chart, is placed in his fourth house making him somewhat of a home body. One of the many things that Jupiter rules is millionaires, and Jupiter makes no exceptions in this case. I must say I am happy to have Jupiter as ruler to my chart as well. His obvious Moon/Venus conjunction give him popularity among women and the trine from that conjunction to his mid heaven makes that popularity profitable for him in his career. This Moon/Venus conjunction in Capricorn is located in his second house of money, well, need I say more about the riches life has bestowed upon him from his career and his recognition among women, and some men I may ad.

Brad attended the university of Missouri, and his majors were journalism and advertising. However in 1987, he left college two credit hours short of graduation. At the time, transiting Uranus conjoined his natal Sun. When the planet of the unexpected and new awareness passes over our natal sun, we tend to have a rather unique awakening in our lives to what may be dormant in our selves. Hence this transit for Brad led him to hop in his car named “runaround Sue” and directed himself towards for California. Brad arrived in Los Angeles, and a new life had started for him. He was young and ambitious and had $325 in his wallet. As he was looking for work he landed the first job of his ‘new life’ handing out free cigarette samples in front of a restaurant dressed as a big chicken. Whatever money he could save went toward his community theatre acting lessons.

Brad worked his way into television and soon after the film industry. As he approached his first Saturn return, he landed first feature film role as a cowboy in the 1991 film, Thelma and Louise. The 14 minutes of screen time made such an impact that it lead him to become one of Hollywood’s top actors. Typically, our first Saturn returns near the ages of 28 to 30 signify a ‘coming of age’ a crossing the threshold into adulthood. In society we become adults at 21, Astrologically, not until after our first Saturn return. Transiting Jupiter also trined his ascendant at the time expanding his horizons.

More opportunities followed. He was soon cast in ‘A River Runs Through It’, and then a huge starring role alongside Tom Cruise in ‘Interview With the Vampire.’ In 1995, as well as in 2000, he was named ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ by People Magazine. Transiting Neptune made a pass over his Moon/Venus conjunction accentuating his beauty and somewhat angelic qualities giving him an aura about him that just made him seem almost ethereal. (Carlo: check back with me on this last statement.)

Also in 1995 while Brad was on the scene of his next hit ‘Seven’ he fell for his co-star Gwyneth Paltrow. It was while Brad and Gwyneth were on a vacation, that their privacy was violated. The couple was sunbathing in the nude when a photographer with a telephoto lens snapped some pictures. These pictures were distributed among magazines and newspapers across all of Europe, and eventually ended up in ‘Playgirl’ magazine. The transit of typically benefic Jupiter to his natal Mars, which in Brad’s chart rules his twelfth house of scandals, was the cause of such debauchery. He should have kept his clothes on in public during this time. They engaged in January of 1997, however on June 16th of that year Brad’s publicist announced that the relationship was over. Transiting Saturn squared his natal Mercury, which in his chart is his partner/lover, adding that there was much too much strain in the relationship, more than he desired.

In the spring of 1998 Brad Pitt met Jennifer Aniston, The two seem very friendly but deny anything more than just being friends. The romance continues, and even after Jennifer takes a trip with Brad to meet his folks in Missouri, they still deny any relationship. The tabloids had caught wind of an impending engagement between the two. Brad and Jennifer appear at the 1999 Emmy awards hand-in-hand, this being their first public appearance together.

During the 1999 time period, transiting Pluto began to cross Brad’s ascendant (rising sign) indicating a great transition in his life and career. This transformation of his ‘self’ more than likely gave him a better understanding of his own self causing him to attract a partner suitable as a true companion. Brad and Jen married July 29, 2000 as once again Jupiter made an almost exact trine to his mid heaven (benefiting a marriage) as well as transiting Saturn making a trine giving the bond durability and stability.

Throughout 2004 the greater benefic, Jupiter will approach and cross his mid heaven indicating a significant time for his career in terms of growth and recognition. It would not surprise me if he was nominated for an Oscar for his role in “Troy.” We have yet to see what the remainder of this year holds for him as the fall time frame should be a time of great opportunity as well as yet another chance at stardom on another level.
